Ghanaian German-based international Kevin Prince Boateng has revealed how he was kicked out of the Black Stars camp during the 2014 World Cup.

Prince who made his debut to the senior national team in 2010 as he was part of the historic squad for the 2010 World Cup performance in South Africa, had a very short stint with the national team.

Prince was kicked out of the Black Stars camp in Brazil alongside Sulley Ali Muntari after an outburst with some officials. However, Prince has revealed the reason behind his sack.

“We had a meeting with the officials and I complained about payments and treatment of the players. I criticize them that they can’t treat us like that and we know how much money they make they should and they should invest in our organization and give the players the money they deserve. So they didn’t like that and they kicked me out”- he said.

He later added how a friend of his had to break the news to him that he was kicked out of the camp.

“They placed a letter at my door around 6 a.m. the day we played Portugal in our final game. I placed the letter away, I was about to sleep when my phone started ringing, a call from Germany from a friend of mine, who broke the news to me that I was kicked out, I quickly ended the call and opened the letter, where I discovered I was kicked out” – he added.
