In all the good vibes that exist between the two West African countries, the quest for supremacy among them in all sectors has also been relevant

In music, there’s a strong debate over the originality of Afrobeats ( the new genre of music that is now dominating the airspace and has given Africa an identity). Ghanaians are of the view that Afrobeats is derived from the popular Ghanaian genre called High Life and to an extent their artist, the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Samini, Stonebwoy to mention a few started rebranding the old indigenous tune in to the new modern trend which is enjoyed across the globe.

On the other hand, the Nigerians are with strong opposition to the claims from their sisters. They have it that it is rather Nigerians who are the originators of Afrobeats on the reason it was the genre the old gods of music like Fela Kuti et al were doing of which it has only been modified in the era of Wizkid, Don Jazzy, Davido, Tiwa Savage et al

Not long ago the argument of who’s Jollof is the best has been immense in actuality and on social media. Vigorously each party is claiming that on matters of cooking the imported food to get that irresistible taste it must come out from their kitchen. It doesn’t matter the gender.

These are some of the interesting things between these two countries that increases the bond. The health rivalry has been of great advantage to both in diverse ways.

After the draw of the 2022 World Cup qualifier held on Saturday at Yaounde, Daniel Amokachi in a brief interview jokingly said
“This is not football but Jollof Rice Derby” because Ghana and Nigeria meet again in a crunchy moment of who represents Africa in the World Cup.

Ghana and Nigeria have met 49 times with Ghana having a good history of 21 wins against 10 for Nigeria and 18 being winless
