However, the team has qualified for next year’s Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote d’Ivoire for the 10th time in a row, with most people hoping the stars will grab the long-awaited trophy.
Former Ghanaian International Yaw Preko has disclosed that Ghana winning the trophy in January has been long overdue and he believes we can prepare well and grab the trophy.
“Ghanaians are expecting the trophy, not that we are going there just to participate. We are this time we will break the jinx. It’s something all Ghanaians are hoping for and we work and pray that the jinx is broken”- he said.
He later added that we just don’t have to say it but rather put in some maximum preparation in other to make that a reality.
” It’s football, while preparing other countries are also preparing, so you have to prepare very well and hope to get some luck behind you. Who knows, we can take it”. – he added.
