National Physical Education Coordinator, Mr Michael Ntow Ayeh, has commended former Greater Accra Handball Association (GAHA) President, Paul Kofi Yesu Dadzie for stepping down at their recent Elective Congress at the SoTT, Airforce Base, Burma Camp.
Kofi Yesu, during the April 14 Congress stepped down after steering the affairs of the GAHA for a term.
However, his decision to step down during the Congress emanated from the unappreciative, alarming and frustrating demonstration of members.
Michael Ayeh, who was the former Greater Accra Regional P.E Coordinator says, GAHA must learn from Kofi Yesu’s stepping down and be careful.
“I was told a lot of things and how people were ganging up against Kofi Yesu. I have been there before, so I know that is how Handball is. They don’t want people who are very principled and straight forward. They always want to bend issues, so if you are not that type, they will find ways to get rid of you. I was happy you stepped down and most of your people also followed you. It is a good sign to them and a warning to them that they should be very careful.”
GAHA had enormous changes over the past 4 years under Kofi Yesu, which was to the admiration of many.
His team’s sacrifice brought about the Ghana Gas sponsorship plus other supports, including Binatone who spiced up the 2019 Champion of Champions and Awards held at Burma Camp.
Rama D.K Kudolo, the new Greater Accra Handball Association President has a new set of core executives, Maxwell Aseidu as Secretary and Hillary Mills as Organizer, except Chief Referee and Technical Director, whose positions are not determined by votes.
