The chase for the qualification for the Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire next year is getting closer as Ghana has yet to grab its qualification.
It’s All down to the last round of games as Ghana is paired in group E alongside Angola, Central Africa Republic, and Madagascar. With Ghana topping the group with 9 points Angola and Central Africa Republic having 8 and 9 points respectively will have to go all out to grab the qualification ticket to the AFCON. A win in our last game for the Blackstars will be an automatic qualification to Ivory Coast.
General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association Lawyer Prosper Harrison Addo believes Ghana will surely grab the qualification to next year’s AFCON.
According to Mr. Addo, the management of the team is putting everything into making that a reality.
“The technical team is working adequately and needed monitoring and preparation are being made. So when the date for the release of the squad list is due you will see the work that has been done in the background coming to the fore.
It’s a must-win, this is a game we are not leaving anything unturned – he said.
He later added that we should all allow the technical team to work, however, we are eligible to express our opinion but that should be done in a civil way as the federation is putting everything place in to ensure the team gets a good preparation ahead in other to build a good and formidable side.
“There are matches handed up to prepare the team. Team building is a process and so we need to offer the team enough friendly matches and my only wish is to give the coach the time to build the team. You can voice out your opinion but let it be civilized and if we all channel opinion in a cordial way, I don’t think anyone will be annoyed” – he added.
