Speaking about the Porcupines early exit from the MTN FA cup, he said “I always want to see clubs from Asanteman progressing so am elated for King Faisal’s progress this season”
“Instead of begging for points, they (King Faisal) are now fighting for their points and am happy for that”.
Alhaji Karim Grusah revealed, he called Nana Yaw Amponsah on phone before King Faisal and Kotoko encounter at the Obuasi Len clay stadium in the 2020/21 Ghana premier league to help save the former from relegation by playing a match of convenience that would favour the “Inshah Allah” boys.
The 35-year-old brainy football administrator took the opportunity to appeal to Asante Kotoko supporters to rally behind the players in difficult times rather than using strong words on them.
The 23-time Ghanaian champions have tasted two defeats in the hands of City rivals, King Faisal within a month in the ongoing 2021/22 football season. Match-day 6 league defeat and an MTN FA cup defeat in the round of 64, all held at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
