The Black Meteors started their U-23 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco as they took on the Red Devils of Congo yesterday.
The Black Meteors grabbed a win over Congo as they hope to book a spot in the last 4 of the competition against host nation Morocco tomorrow.
Head Coach of the Black Meteors Coach Ibrahim Tanko has praised the presence of the senior head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana Chris Hughton for his presence in Camp.
Chris Hughton joined the squad in Morocco as he hope to assist the technical team as they go on to achieve their mission.
Speaking to the press Tanko revealed how happy he is to see the head coach putting in this support for these young ones.
“He has been here being a very good thing, we have been speaking each day and he is the boss of the senior national team and these boys are playing to get to that level so I’m happy he is here,” he said.
