Former Ghanaian international Augustine Ahenfo has said he is capable of taking up the challenge of coaching the Black Stars following the sack of Milovan Rajevac.
Speaking in an interview, the former prolific striker has disclosed that he holds the right documents as a licensed coach to take up the vacant position
“Why can’t I coach Black Stars. I’m capable of handling the Black Stars. I hold the right certificate as a licensed coach to handle any part of the national team including the Black Stars” Augustine echoed
The former Borussia Dortmund player furthered that the mindset of our football administrators concerning indigenous coaches is the reason many Ghanaian retired players who are now into coaching sometimes relent themselves for the technical head role
“Our football administrators have a certain mindset about we the Ghanaian coaches and I don’t know why. An Ex-Co member said on air the last time that no Ghanaian can coach the Black Stars. This is disrespect and disappointment as well” Augustine Ahinful
It is quite surprising that the entire administrative role of the FA is managed by Ghanaians but the dugout role can’t. Only Africans doesn’t support their own.
