It was the final of the oldest competition in England, as the English Premier League Champions faced the Carabao Champions in the 2022/2023 FA Cup final in Wembley.

It was the clash of the Manchester’s as both teams hoped to fight for their second trophy of the season however with City having another chance to challenge for their third trophy after beating their rivals to be crowned the champions of the FA Cup.

It was a game which saw the Citizens hoping to protect their chase for the treble as they will face Italian giant Inter Millan later this month for the UEFA Champions League title, their first ever kind, so Pep Guardiola making some changes to his starting 11.

Pep’s men were off as they had an early goal just 15 seconds into the game through Ikay Gundogan which gave them more hope as they settled down quickly in the game.

The game looked more tense as Manchester United were awarded a penalty which was successfully converted from the spot by Bruno Fernandes which however brought them in level pairs as both team headed into the break with something to fight for in the last 45 minutes.

The second department started well for the Red Devils as they were pushing to get a second goal in other to achieve a successful comeback against the Cityzens but eventually, Ikay Gundogan struck in the 51st minute,( just 6 minutes into the second department) changed the narrative as Pep’s men were resilient which they managed the game till the last kick if the game as Manchester City were crowned the 2022/2023 FA Cup champions, however, they continue to chase their third trophy against Inter Millan in Istanbul.
