Susubiribi Football club President, George Afriyie has suggested for an increase in Electoral College at various FA congress, specifically West Africa to minimize unfairness in internal football elections.
Speaking with Kumasi based Akoma fm, he said “In the subsequent days, I will personally write to FIFA to increase the Electoral College in our part of the world (West Africa) because if the Electoral College is reduced, the highest bidder get advantage”
“Reducing the Electoral College, am not for it and reducing 48 division 1 clubs to 18 club league, am also not for it” he added.
The former GFA Vice President reiterated that, fairness can only be prevailed in our internal football elections if majority number of people are allow to vote rather than decreasing the Electoral College.
