Ghana took on Angola in a nill empathetic victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the AFCON Qualifiers yesterday without the action of the skipper of the side, Andre Ayew, which has sparked up a lot of questions as to why the Ghanaian Captain was dropped.
The vice president of the Ghana Football Association, Mr Mark Addo has revealed that he doesn’t see anything wrong with the decision of the technical team in dropping Ayew.
According to him, he believes it’s the sole responsibility of the technical team to put up a good squad and decide on who to play.
“I don’t know what necessitated that decision, but I don’t see anything wrong with Chris Hughton’s decision to leave out Andre Ayew from the Black Stars squad,” he said.
“I don’t want to conjecture anything because that would be a disservice to the technical team and the playing body, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with that decision” he added.
