It’s been 24 hours after the verdict from the Court of Arbitration for sports on the pending case between Inter Allies and Ashanti Gold.
CAS instructed the Ghana Football Association to compensate 21 players who were banned.
According to the head of Communications of the Ghana Football Association Mr. Henry Asante Tswum, the GFA won’t take any further action in respect to the case. According to him, they are not the federation who have lost a case against the court, thus this won’t distract them from continuing their duties.
He said the court confirmed the game was compromised and that’s the most important thing.
“Though the arbiter acknowledged that the game was compromised, he thought the evidence wasn’t enough to punish the players.
The FA won’t take any further action, we are not the only association to lose a case even FIFA, English FA etc have lost their before” – he said.
