2022/2023 Betpower Ghana Premier League matchday 17 was graced with some mouth-watering games.

It all started on Friday league leaders Aduana Star visited Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, hoping to fight for all three points as their campaign for their third Ghana Premier League continues.
The game looked tense, with the backing of the home fans barren after 90 minutes. The Ogya boys picking up a vital point away from home has kept them still at the top of the league table as the Hunter remains in third position.

Head Coach of Accra-based Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic commented on how dissatisfied he is with the supporters of the club, according to him, supporters need to cheer up and motivate the team in bad and good times.
‘“I’m very disappointed in the supporters, When the team loses then you will hear all kinds of negative reactions from the supporters. We need supporters, not fans. When the team loses, the supporters still have to support the boys.” He added.

The action continued on Saturday as Hearts of Oak returned home with a win over Berekum Chelsea.
The Phobians bounced back to winning ways after a shocking defeat to Real Tamale United in Tamale on match day 16.
The match saw the welcoming of Captain Gladson Awako, konadu Yiadom, Siedu Surag and Dennis Korsah to the squad after their campaign with the Black Galaxies at the just-ended CHAN tournament in Algeria.
The game looked much tenser till the last ten minutes of the game which saw their own goal from their captain Zakaria Fuseni give the Phobia the lead in the 82nd minute.
Goals from Benjamin Yorke and Victor Aidoo in the 87th and 90th +3 minutes respectfully gave the Phobians an upper hand over the Blues, after Kusi Pandrous pulled on back for his side in the 90th +1 minutes.
Hearts of Oak now occupies the 2nd spot in the league with 28.
A wrap on Sunday saw defending Champions Asante Kotoko visit Dream FC in Dawu.

The Porcupine warriors were hoping to extend their winning streak, while Dreams FC was desperate for a win after picking up a vital point from Great Olympics away from home on Matchday 16.

Goals from Aholou and Agyemin Boateng Mensah in the 11th and 60th minutes were enough for the still Believers men to grab all three points at the Theatre of Dreams.
After the loss, the Head Coach of the Kumasi-based club Asante Kotoko, Seydou Zerbo, and Dreams FC played well and deserved to win the match.

“The home team played very well, they deserve the win and we have about seven players who are absent and we have to accept they played better than us”.
King Faisal won against Real Tamale United in Kumasi, whereas Karela beat Kotoko Royals by 2 goals to 1.

The action continues today as Accra Lions welcomes Bibiani Goldstars in Accra.
