The last round of Qatar 2022 world cup African qualifying matches are currently ongoing with the inclusion of Ghana Black Stars and Bafana Bafana of South Africa Group G decider at the Cape Coast Sports stadium but the match week 3 of Ghana Premier league went on unabated.

Bibiani GoldStars hosted Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko at Dun’s park. The newly promoted home side dominated the first half but failed to find the back of the net due to wastefulness upfront. Referee Maxwell Hanson took the game to recess without a goal. Asante Kotoko came into the 2nd half stronger and took the lead in the 55th mins by 18-year-old Isaac Oppong. The home side eventually trailed to the visitors by a lone goal.
Yakubu Haqq of Bibiani GoldStars won the Man of the Match award.

Dreams FC returned to their favourite grounds with victory after clearance from the GFA club licensing authority.
Newly promoted side, Accra Lions succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to the visitors at Dawu.
Early strikes by Ali Huzaf and Agyenim Boateng in the 14th and 20th mins respectively doubled the lead for the host. Rauf Salifu pulled one back in the 21st mins for the visitors but Agyenim Boateng’s 68th mins strike got him a brace and won the day convincingly for the host.
Agyenim Boateng won the man of the match award.

Legon Cities trailed by a lone goal to Accra Great Olympics at the Accra sports stadium. Maxwell Abbey Quaye’s 19th mins strike was enough to win the day for the visitors.
James Akaminko of Great Olympics took the man of the match award.

Defending champions, Accra Hearts of oak recorded their third consecutive draw against Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports stadium.
Kofi Kodzi got the lead for the struggling giants in the 9th mins but that lead was equalized by Bright Agyei in the 79th mins through a spot-kick. The crucial encounter ended in a stalemate with the Phobians ending the match with ten men due to Mohammed Alhassan’s 78th mins red card.

King Faisal recorded a shocking third consecutive win against Ashantigold at the Baba Yara sports stadium. 75th and 85th mins goals by Enoch Morrison and Ibrahim Osman respectively decide the game by 2-0 in favour of the host.

At the Crosby Awuah Memorial park, Karela United came from behind to defeat Berekum Chelsea by 2-1. Bright Amponsah took the lead for the visitors in the 10th mins but a 30th mins spot-kick by Umar Bashir and a 50th mins goal by Darlington Gyan Fosu gave the host their first win of the season.
Darlington Gyan Fosu of Karela United won the Nasco man of the match award.

Tamale based RTU recorded their first victory of the season after an impressive 2-0 win over WAFA.
David Abagna Sandan’s brace in the 10th and 75th mins respectively secured victory for the host.

Coach Kasim Mingle’s Bechem United secured their 2nd consecutive home victory against Elmina Sharks at Nana Fosu Gyeabour park. Obuoba Yaw Dasi and Francis Twene’s 68th and 80th mins strike won the day convincingly for the host.

At Nana Ameyaw park, Texhiman XI Wonders and Medeama SC ended in a goalless draw.
