It was the first round of games of matchday 33 of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League, as two league venues were graced with some interesting fixtures.

Starting at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex was Kumasi-based club Kumasi King Faisal trying hard to fight out from their relegation woes as they welcomed Accra-based club Legon Cities at home.

The game started with everything at stake for the Insha Allah Boys to grab all three maximum points as relegation kept looming at them.

The Insha Allah Boys started well as they began to dictate the pace of the game which eventually handed them the opener from the penalty spot as Abdul Latif scores from the spot kick in the 23rd minute in the first department of the game.

The goal however gave the home team more room as they continued to chase their escape relegation threat.

The first half ended as King Faisal went into the break with their noses in Infront.

The second department started as Latif Abdul bagged a brace for King Faisal. The home team doubled their lead in the 58 minutes which gave them control in the game but eventually, the visitors pulled one back in the 76th minute through Ebenezer Armegah.

The action however continued as Baba Yahaya made it three for King Faisal which eventually gave them the maximum three points but that was not enough to take them from the relegation zone, as they still sit in 17th position on the league log.

Elsewhere Dreams FC beating Accra Great Olympics in Dawu.

The action also continues tonight at the Accra Sports Stadium under floodlight as defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko will visit the Accra-based club Accra Lions.
