After experiencing an entertaining match yesterday afternoon at the Coronation Park in Sunyani, where new debutants Bofoakwa Tano grabbed their first win in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, the action, however, continues today at Dun’s Park in Bibiani.

It’s Bibiani Goldstars against Kumasi-based club Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

With both teams failing to grab all three points in the opening matchday, Bibiani lost away from home to Berekum Chelsea whereas Kotoko was held at home by Kpando Hearts of Lions. A search to grab all three points is on course for both teams.

With Bibiani GoldStars failed to come out on top when playing at home against Asante Kotoko. In the 2021/22 season, Kotoko emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win, while in the 2022/23 season, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. In all instances allowing Goldstars to go on top of the league log yet fail to grab that.

Head coach of Bibiani, Micheal Osie is aiming to beat Kotoko to start this season. Speaking ahead of the game, he disclosed that beating Kotoko will boost their seasons after losing their opening game. He is however optimistic his side will grab all three points against Kotoko whereas Kotoko’s gaffer Prosper Nartey Ogum believes his side is a work in progress as they hope to build a formidable squad in the coming days.
