Ghana’s Black Queens have slipped in both the global and African rankings, according to the latest FIFA release on Thursday, June 12.
The Black Queens dropped one spot in the latest rankings, reflecting their recent performances under new head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren.
In March, the Black Queens climbed to fifth place in the CAF rankings while holding the 65th spot in the global standings.
Black Queens have played four matches, securing only one victory a friendly against Senegal, while suffering two defeats and drawing one.
However, in the latest update from the world’s football governing body, Bjorkegren’s side has slipped to 66th with 1391.61 in the global rankings and 6th with same 1391.61 points on the continental list.
Meanwhile, the team is currently finalizing preparations for the rescheduled 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
