Former Black Stars captain John Mensah has revealed that he believes in the current crop of players available for the Black Stars.

Irrespective of the recent dip in form, Mensah believes that the Black Stars led by head coach Chris Hughton we do well in next year’s Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.

*It’s still early days, times change, anything can happen in football these days, you underestimate any team at your peril”- he said.

He added that Ghana has more young players who have a great future.

“Ghana has a promising, youthful team, and I believe they have what it takes to compete in the tournament”- he added.
