The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced the dismissal of Milovan Rajevac as Blacks Stars coach following the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

A statement on the GFA website read, “The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has decided to part ways with Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac.”

“This follows the receipt of the Technical Report from the Coach, the Medical Report and the Report from the Management Committee following Ghana’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 tournament.”

“The Executive Council after considering the three reports and engagements with key stakeholders has decided to end its relationship with Coach Milovan Rajevac and also decided that the Black Stars Management Committee be reconstituted.”

The 67-year-old Serbia tactician was tasked to win the Afcon 2021 tournament in Cameroon with the Blacks Stars.

But the black stars of Ghana were eliminated from the group stages of the Afcon tournament by debutant’s Comoros in a humiliating 3-2 defeat. They didn’t win any game in the competition and claimed the last spot on the group C table with 1 point.

The GFA however thanked Milovan Rajevac and his technical team and wished them well.
