GFA, REALIZING THE ETHICS COMMITTEE WAS OPERATING UNCONSTITUTIONALLY MAKES ME OKAY- KOFI MANU BLUE BOY

Maverick football administrator, Kofi Manu Blue Boy has expressed satisfaction on clarifications of composition related to the GFA ethics committee.

Kofi Manu Blue Boy was captured in Anas expose dubbed ‘Number 12’, receiving gift which is contrary to article 25(1) of GFA code of ethics 2019, therefore was charged for abused of position and bribery contrary to article 27(1) and (2) of the GFA code of ethics. He was invited to appear before the GFA ethics committee.

The former Aduana Stars management member failed to appear before the GFA ethics committee with reasons that the committee is operating unconstitutionally and until the right thing is done, he won’t honour any invitation.

The GFA ethics committee at it’s meeting held on December 10 2020 banned Kofi Manu Blue Boy to have breached Article 18 of the GFA Code of Ethics (2019) (Duty to Cooperate) which imposes a duty to assist and cooperate truthfully, fully and in good faith with the Ethics Committee at all times, and not to take any action actually or apparently intended to obstruct, evade, or otherwise interfere with any actual or potential Ethic Committee proceedings.

He was eventually banned one year from all football related activities and fined GH 5,000.

On March 22 2020, the GFA made clarifications on the composition of the ethics committee and clearly it relates to the notion by Kofi Manu Blue Boy that the committee wasn’t acting according to laws.

The former GFA exco member reacting to the development from the GFA said ” Now that they have realized that the Committee as it existed preciously was operating unconstitutionally, I am okay”.

“They have to annul all the decisions taken against all persons and compensate them” He added.

Asked if he will now honour invitation from the ethics committee after clarifications of their work, he said “I will think about it”.
