After the hold on of the general election of the Ghana Football Association by the Federation after an injunction from the court is still receiving some backlash. However, candidates who are vying for various positions are still putting things in place in other to achieve their fate after the election.
Mr George Afriyie has also vied for the position as the president of the Ghana Football Association, however, a management member of the Accra-based club Accra Hearts of Oak Dr Nyaho Tamakloe believes Mr George Afriyie who is hoping to be elected as the president of the Ghana Football Association, is not fit to be the president of the federation.
According to him, Mr. Afriyie has been at that office before as an assistant and he did not do anything special, so his coming back means he cannot do anything special in his second coming.
In an interview with Accra-based television Joy Prime, he made those statements.
“George Afriyie has been there before.
I believe strongly that he was a co-pilot during Kwesi Nayntakyi’s time and when he allowed certain to take place, some of the blame can be put on you,” he said on Joy Sports’ Prime Take.
“That in itself, to me, does not qualify him now to come to the scene at all as GFA President.
But I believe strongly
that if he teams up with the present leadership, they will work in unison.
“It will be good for the country and football in general.”
