“We didn’t do well in this year’s tournament and on behalf of the team that went to represent the nation we say forgive us Ghanaians,” Kurt Orkraku said
The President of the Ghana Football Association has reacted to the emotional outcry by the populace after the abysmal performance of the Black Stars in the 2021 AFCON by apologizing to the nation on that score
Speaking in an interview on TV3 the leader of the football ecosystem agreed with a majority of Ghanaian’s aggrieved nature on the senior national team early exit in the group stage from the ongoing tournament. He canvas for calmness at this moment which to him it is the only way we can make good decisions at this time.
“Heads must cool even though we didn’t do well and it is the best way we can make good decisions”, the GFA president added
Ghana has been eliminated from the group stage of the AFCON for the first time without a single win of a game. They suffered the same exit in 1980, 1994 and 2006 but they won a game in that era despite their exit
