South Africa football federation protest against Ghana in the world cup qualifying match at Cape Coast sports stadium has been rejected by world football governing body, FIFA.

The world football governing body in its statement didn’t find any dubious situation that went in favour of Ghana in the said Group G world cup qualifying decider as claimed by SAFA.

The center referee, Maguette Ndiaye has also been cleared by FIFA from bribery allegations, meaning, the Senegalese official can continue with his refereeing duties without any ban.

FIFA’s verdict maintains Ghana as Group G winner with goals advantage and eligible to play the final qualifying round for the 2022 mundial in Qatar.

The Black Stars of Ghana penalty against Bafana Bafana of South Africa was protested by the latter as dubious because Daniel Amartey went down easily in the final third but the world football body see it otherwise.

In 2017, FIFA ruled that South Africa and Senegal match should be replayed because the former was awarded a dubious penalty by Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey, who was banned for life.

Referee Daniel Bernette was also suspended in 2017 for disallowing a clear Daniel Amartey goal against Uganda in the 2018 world cup qualifying match.
