Former Asante Kotoko player, Charles Taylor has stated emphatically that, Felix Annan’s qualities as a goalkeeper exceeds that of Razak Abalora on any day.

Speaking on Angel tv, he said ” Kotoko should be fair to Felix Annan and used him in the post ahead of error-prone Razak Abalora if they want to win the competitive 2020/21 Ghana premier league”.

“I know the qualities of both Annan and Abalora and I can confidently say that the former’s qualities exceed the latter on any given day” He reiterated.

“I will advice Felix Annan to consider leaving Kotoko if he is not used in their next league match against Wafa” He added.

BACKGROUND

Felix Annan, though a captain of two times African club Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, but a consistent bench warmer.

It would be recalled that Annan after marrying his long time girlfriend, Francisca Yeboah in the middle of the truncated 2019/20 Ghana premier league, was used as a backup to Kwame Baah under coach Maxwell Konadu.

Maxwell Konadu was axed from his role as Asante Kotoko head coach due to poor performance, under Coach Johnson Smith, Annan was expecting things to change to his favour but his situation worsened when Black stars 2nd choice Razak Abalora signed for the Porcupine Warriors.

Portuguese tactician, Coach Mariano Barreto recently took charge as Asante Kotoko head coach for the second round of the league season and has maintained Abalora in the post ahead of Skipper, Felix Annan.
