Samreboi based, FC Samartex have gained a historic promotion to the Ghana premier league after 26 years with three games to end zone 2 of the division one league.

Coach Henry Wellington and his gallant players made this historic feat possible after sharing spoils with Sewdru All Blacks and Ebusua Dwarfs trailing to Nzema Kotoko in Anyinase in match-week 27 of the division 1 league.

FC Samartex is leading the Zone 2 table with 61 points, with 10 points adrift to 2nd placed team Ebusua Dwarfs with three games to spare.

Despite the stiffer competition from former Ghana premier league sides like Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase and Sekondi Hasaacas, the Samreboi based club are representing live in the 2022/23 Ghana premier league for the first time in 26 years.

FC Samartex was established in 1996 and competed in lower tiers thus divisions 3,2 and 1 for 26 years.
