Young Ghanaian attacking prospect Sumaila Abubakari has joined Albanian second-tier side K.F Skenderbue on a three-year deal, from Ghanaian lower-tier side Mountaineers FC after all paperwork has been agreed and completed by both clubs, as announced on the club’s official website.
Abubakari, 19, has had an impressive season in the just-ended league season which aroused interest from lots of clubs both local and foreign for his signature. But after a resolute, he will now be on the books of the relegated Albania top-flight side Skenderbue, who look to augment their squad for next season in their quest for automatic promotion back to the top flight in their first attempt.
This becomes the second player to join the Albanian club from Mountaineers FC going into the new season, after the announcement of the hard-tackling defender Kelvin Edo Dosseh earlier this week as they strengthen their fold for next season’s campaign.
K.F Skenderbue will play in the second tier of the Albania League division, after being relegated from the top flight in the just-ended season placing 10th out of the 10 teams football league. With sights set on an instant return to the top flight after a season in the second tier.
