Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea has officially announced his departure from the club after a 12 years stay.
David was told by the Red Devils gaffer Eric Ten Hag that he will no longer be needed in the coming season as they hope to chase Inter Millan’s Andre Onana.
After a tremendous performance by the Spanish goalkeeper, he finally leaves the Manchester-based club as he tends to focus elsewhere in his carrier.
He announced his departure through an emotional message to the supporters.
“I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last 12 years”.
“I took incredible pride every time I pulled on this shirt, the biggest club in the world”.
“Manchester will always be in my heart”- he said.
Also, head coach of the club Eric Ten Hag gave his piece as David De Gea announced his departure.
“He (De Gea) will always be remembered as one of the very best goalkeepers in the history of the club.”- he added.
