Didier Drogba Grabs New Role As He Pens Down A 4 Year DEAL As Head Coach Of Ivory Coast

It’s just 5 months to the start of the Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast. The Elephant of Cote D’Ivoire preparing adequately as they hope to grab the trophy again in 2015.

Former Captain and legend of the team Didier Yves Drogba picks up the role as the new head coach of the Elephants after losing out in the race of becoming the President of the federation.

Drogba is not expected to win two AFCONs title and ensure the qualifications of the team for the 2026 world cup in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

However, this is the first experience for Drogba in his coaching career as a head coach after landing his UEFA Pro coaching License.

He has also called on his former national teammate Yaya Toure to join him as his assistant coach.
