TSG Hoffenheim centre back, Kasim Nuhu Adams has revealed that, being adamant not to refuse national team call up led to his limited playing time in the German top-flight side currently.
The former Young Boys defender is yet to play a match for Hoffenheim in the ongoing 2021-22 season and has been missing in recent Black Stars call up’s.
Speaking with Tarkwa based Medeama fm, he said, “The problem is CK Akunnor once called me for an AFCON qualifier match, the club wasn’t content with the call up due to the intense covid-19 outbreak that particular moment. Due to my love for Ghana, I defied their orders and represented Ghana in that particular AFCON qualifier match”
“I returned to my club only to lose my position and till now am not getting playing time but I will make a move to a new club in January” he added.
Kasim Adams has made 36 appearances for Hoffenheim in all competitions since joining Youngs boys in the 2018/19 season.
