Life after football has been very difficult for some footballers while others have a different narrative.

However most often, they tend to become coaches or help in player development, with that, the Ghana Football Association under the administration of Kurt E. S Okraku in ensuring that life after football becomes much better.

Legend and ex-player of the Black Stars Laryea Kingston believe coaching as an ex-player gives you a 50% edge over any other coach because you have the game knowledge.

“Coaching as an ex-player gives you 50% of game knowledge, Because to be a coach, you need to have the game knowledge, the former players have that already which they will just have to add up the education aspect to it, so it gives them the edge of someone who is coaching but has not played football before. Because he has experienced it as a player, so the foundation fundamentals of the game he will understand it as a player which can help him during his work” – he said.
