It was a sad day in Ghana, as the late Christian Atsu Twasam was put to rest. The Former Ghanaian International, who suddenly lost his life to a tragic earthquake in Turkey early last month, had final funeral rites done today at the forecourt of the Statehouse.

The rite saw many dignitaries, family members and fans of the 31-year-old late footballer give their accounts of how well Christian lived his life.

With the presence of the first gentleman of the land, H.E Nana Adoo Danquah Akuffo Addo also paid his last respect and tribute to the late Ghanaian International.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustafa Usiff, and the Ghana Football Association also paid tribute to the late Twasam, on his good deeds and great contribution to Football in Ghana.
He believes that Christian is gone but will be forever remembered for his good deeds off and on the pitch.

Christian Atsu Twasam, May your soul rest in peace.
