The appointment of the new head coach of the Blackstars Chris Hughton has sparked a lot of conversation as to whether Chris is capable of the task.

The Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr George Afriyie has revealed his support for the new Blackstars Coach, Chris Hughton.

According to him, he believes Chris will be more capable of handling the Blackstars team.

He added that he wished the former Newcastle boss was the coach of the Blackstars during the just-ended 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
” Chris Hughton for me should have taken us to the 2022 World Cup as head coach. I have enough confidence in Chris.”

Mr George also added that Ghanaians should throw all their support to the new technical head of the team as they prepare against Angola for the AFCON Qualifiers later this month.
