It was the battle for the last representative to join the 2023/2024 Betpawa Premier League season after Kpando Hearts of Lions and Nations FC already booked their place. It was the clash of 2022/2023 Access Bank Division One (Zone 1) champions Bofoakwa Tano and Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Bofoakwa Tano however, was tipped as the favourite coming into this tie as they came up again Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The game started well for Bofoakwa Tano as they were controlling every moment of the game. The Hunters were very optimistic to gain promotion to the premier league as they were able to put some passes together making them total control of the game which eventually gave them the lead as Leslie Ayeetey pulled one in the 6th minute for his side from the spot.

The Hunter however continued to stamp their authority on the field as they went into the break with their heads up whereas Eleven Wonders were hoping to vary tactics as they come back in the second department of the game.

The second department started quickly for Techiman Eleven Wonders as they came back on level pairs just 30 seconds into the second half from Zackaria Osman.

Both teams however were hoping to get the second goal and close the game eventually but both teams were tactically disciplined as the game ended and travelled through to the extra time.

After 120 minutes of action, the game proceeded to a penalty shootout as both teams were still tied up.

Bofoakwa Tano however pulled through as they grabbed the last slot for the 2023/2024 Betpawa Premier League after beating Techiman Eleven Wonders 7-6 on penalties.
