Ghana’s participation in the 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar was a great source of joy for the people of Ghana. As the whole country was keen to throw their support for the Black Stars of Ghana under the care of former interim manager Otto Addo.
However, the team did not live up to expectations after gaining just three points in their group which however did not fuel them enough to go through the group stages of the competition.
However, Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif believes Ghana’s participation in the FIFA world cup was a great achievement.
“We getting the chance to be at the world cup was something great. Looking at over 200 countries who wanted to be at the Mundial and having the lot as one of the 32 countries was a massive achievement. Though we couldn’t go very far as planned, I’m proud of the boys and I believe gradually we will find back our feet as the powerhouse of Africa” – he said.
