It’s been barely a week, after the confirmation of approval of the stadium by the CAF.
This confirmation means that the facility is now available to be used by the GFA after a temporary approval for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Regarding the approval, the facility has been shut down temporarily as is to prevent pressure on the park. The Baba Yara Sports Stadium pitch won’t be available for domestic competition until after Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers against Angola on March 23rd, 2023.
This decision is to give managers of the pitch ample time to further improve the quality of the pitch.
