Accra Hearts of oak recorded their first victory in the 2021/22 Ghana premier league against Elmina Sharks at the Nduom sports stadium.
The Phobians, after a disappointing African campaign, came back strongly to secure their first three points in the ongoing Ghana premier league.
Gladson Awako announced his presence to score a classic debut goal in the 72nd minutes to decide the match after replacing Enock Asubongteng in the 64th minutes.

It took the timely intervention of the Teshie youth chief before Awako returned to the club’s camp.
The 34 year old apologized to the Phobian fraternity for letting them down in the African campaign and assured them of making key impact in the team’s setup and indeed he made an impact at the Nduom Sports stadium.
Reports emerged that Hearts coach Samuel Boadu was rushed to the hospital in Elmina after he complained of uneasiness in breathing.
His situation is currently under control according to the club.
