At the end of this season people will be arrested for match fixing – GFA Secretary

“Every person who is into match fixing and manipulation of matches will face the arrest of the police at the end of this season” Prosper Harrison Addo

The GFA Secretary made this statement in relation to the match fixing bruhaha that is in a way affecting the league in the second round season.

“If somebody sits on radio or any platform or anywhere and says that it is not in the law of the state that no one can be arrested due to match fixing is joking. The state can arrest and prosecute any person who tries to bring the integrity of the game” he explained.

Match fixing has been a problem of the league for some time now and a major reason for this nucanse is the lack of adequate funds for the clubs and the league as a whole.

Referees who are key players to curb this error are always complaining of the unpaid salary due them in the season and it is a major contributing factor to this effect

We will all love to see a progress in the right direction and it must not just be a lips service.
