Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Yeboah popularly known as “99 ideas” has revealed how the Ghanaian all-time world cup top scorer and legend Asamoah Gyan’s recommendation on Twitter gave him confidence getting into the ongoing Total Energies U-23 African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
The 20 years old Ghanaian International who plays as a winger for Liga I club CFR Cluj was the discovery in Ghana’s campaign in the U-23 African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco but unfortunately couldn’t qualify from the group stage of the competition.
With Emmanuel scoring three goals in three appearances for the Black Meteors, he managed to grab the attention of many Ghanaians.
According to Emmanuel, the tweet from Gyan made him confident going into the game and also gave him the mindset that, much is demanded or expected from him.
“I had the mindset that much is expected from me, so when he (Baby Jet) tweeted about me before the start of the tournament, it gave me more confidence that I should do more, at least I should get a goal or assist in any game I’m featured in to prove to Ghanaians that what legend said was factual”- he told Angel FM Saddick Adams.
“I was happy he posted me and I wanted to do more in other to serve as an appreciation to the legend” – he added.
Emmanuel Yeboah will be hoping to get a median call-up to the senior national team the Black Stars of Ghana under head coach Chris Hughton.
