The Ghana women’s league champions who are currently representing the country in the WAFU Zone B got their campaign race in motion this afternoon when they faced Burkina Faso side USFA.
The champions won 3-0 at full time. Elizabeth Owusu headed in the ball to record the opening goal just 10 minutes into the game.
The second goal was a deflection from a USFA defender, some few minutes to the end of the first half. Coach Nana Darkwa made a double substitution by taking Gladys Amfobea and Elizabeth Owusu out to be replaced by Mary Amponsah and Mavis Owusu.
Substitute Mavis Owusu extended the lead for her side by adding another goal in the 89th minute to seal the game for the NanaMma giants.
