Afua Asantewaa, the Singathon celebrity, seems to have begun her tourism ambassador role in a remarkable way, by singing the National Anthem for the Black Stars during à farewell cocktail event hosted by the President of the Republic for the team, ahead of their departure to Ivory Coast to compete in the African Cup of Nations tournament.

During the event, the President, Nana Akufo- Addo expressed his gratitude to the sponsors of the Black Stars and encouraged the technical team to unleash their creativity and talent on their opponents. The coach, Chris Houghton, also expressed his thanks to the government for their support, while the captain, Andre Ayew, pledged the team’s full commitment to performing at their best. Ghanaian dancehall Artist Stonebwoy perfomed a surpise act as the players waived their Ghanaian flags in anticipation.

This positive start sets a patriotic tone for the Black Stars’ journey in the tournament and demonstrates the unity and support from all involved in Ghana’s football community. Stay tuned to Herosportgh.com for more updates on the Black Stars’ progress in the African Cup of Nations!”
