Head coach of the Atlas Lion of Morocco, Walid Regragui has disclosed that he believes an African country can win the world cup if the number of participating countries from the African continent is increased.
According to him, it’s a difficult tournament and there are good teams who couldn’t make it to the world cup because of the limited slots.
” I think it’s a very difficult competition, you know there are very good teams and some teams didn’t play in the world cup like Nigeria who has good players, Mali, Algeria, Egypt and the five counties that participated at the world cup, I think if we have ten teams we can this competition,” he said.
Walid Regragui inspired the Atlas Lions Morocco to a historical moment in the just-ended FIFA World Cup in Qatar after reaching the last 4 of the competition.
