Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a
forward for Ligue 1 side FC Nantes and the Nigeria national team, after coming through the Ajax youth academy as a youngster.
The 26 yr old player was the star man in Nigeria’s first game in the group stage against Egypt. The attacker exploits on the flungs was a delight to watch.
In the game, Simon kept tormenting the defence of the Egyptians to the extent that the right full-back of the Egyptians Akram Tawfik has to be substituted for Mohammed Abdelmoneim. The experience right full-back also couldn’t stand the heat.
The former Gent and Levente player had his first call-up to the senior national team in 2015 through coach Daniel Amokachi. He made his first debut in March in the same year when he came in as a sub for Anthony Ujar on the 56 minutes in a friendly game against Uganda. Moses scored his first goal in a friendly match against Niger in September 2015. Nigeria won the game by 2 goals to nil in that game.
He was part of the squad that won bronze in the 2019 AFCON held in Egypt.
Most at times when the doors of Grace open early for you in such a big tournament, it’s mostly a sign of great exploits to come and Moses case won’t be different.
