Second-half goals from Mohammed Kudus, Felix Afena-Gyan and substitute Osman Bukari saw the Black Stars open their qualifying campaign with a comfortable victory.
Otto Addo named a very predictable team for the game, with captain Adre Ayew returning to the starting line-up.

Abdul Baba Rahman also started at left-back and formed part of the back-four that also featured Denis Odoi, Gideon Mensah and Daniel Amartey.

In the absence of the injured Thomas Partey, Baba Iddrisu started in defensive midfield while Andre Ayew and Kudus played as double central midfielders.

On the back of frustrations from the first half, Mohammed Kudus with an assist from Felix Afena-Gyan found the back of the Madagascar net to take the lead in the 53rd minute.

Three minutes later, Felix Afena-Gyan had his chance to score and made no mistake as he opened his goal account at black Star with a pass from Gideon Mensah.

Continuing to dominate the contest, Ghana sealed a 3-0 in the 68th minute when Osman Bukari equalised with a fine goal.

On the win today, Ghana tops Group E of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers ahead of the second game against the Central African Republic on June 5.
