Coach Patrice Beaumelle has involved Crystal Palace star, Wilfred Zaha in Ivory Coast 28 man squad for AFCON 2021.
The 29 year old, who made his debut for Ivorian national team in 2017 recently excused himself in Ivory coast squad for 2022 world cup qualifiers matches with Mozambique and Cameroon in November with reasons that he return home sick after each international duty.
It was skeptical if the premier league star will leave Crystal Palace for the AFCON in January but that doubt has eventually turned in favour of the Ivorian national team after Patrice Beaumelle surprisingly named Zaha in his final squad to Cameroon in early January.
The two time African champions are in group E with Algeria, Seirra Leone and Equatorial Guinea and will play their first game with Seirra Leone on January 16 2022 at Japoma stadium, Douala.
