The Pharaoh’s of Egypt have sailed through the semi-finals of the Africa cup of nations with a 2-1 win over Morocco.
The end to end highly intensive game went to an extra time due to a 1-1 stalemate in 90 minutes.
Angers winger, Soufiane Boufal’s 6th-minute spot-kick put the Moroccan’s ahead before a 53rd-minute strike from Mohammed Salah to bring the Pharaoh’s at a level to the Atlas lions.
The Atlas Lions were expecting their first AFCON semi-finals in 18 years but a 100th-minute extra-time strike from Mahmoud Trezeguet, assisted by Salah booted the 1976 African champions from the 33rd edition of the Africa cup of nations in Cameroon.
Liverpool Star, Mohammed Salah proved his superiority with a goal and an assist to book the semi-finals of tickets for the Pharaohs.
Egypt will lock horns with a star-studded Cameroonian side on Thursday, Jan 3 2022.
