It was the last game for the last slot for the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup quarter-finals as Aduana Stars visited Kumasi-based club, Kumasi King Faisal as they battle it out for the last candidate for the Semifinals.
The game saw a lot of eyeballs as the home team started on a high note in the early hours of the game. However, falling behind by Stephen Badu’s last-minute strike in the first department of the game.

The visiting team went ahead again in the 75th minute through Owusu Frank which was cancelled just 3 minutes after being behind again by Benjamin Bature.
The tie was then extended to the extra time after both teams were still pushing for the separating goal.
A 3-1 penalty win for the home side gave them the ticket to the last 4 of the semi-finals as they face Tamale-based club, Real Tamale United.
