Youth development in Ghana has been the gospel preached so far by many Ghanaian clubs including the national teams. Many believe it’s the only way to revive our football again to the top.

Legend of Kumasi-based club Kumasi Asante Kotoko Abdul Razak believes improvement of the youth system is the only way to go.

According to Razak, we need to concentrate more on the youth system rather than the already established players.

” We must have a system that will teach them the basic way of how to play the game. There must be a clear plan for the development of the young guys, stating clearly the stages involved in making these young potentials ready for the market. Other countries are doing it and are getting the results

Egypt and Morocco have all adopted this method, their various clubs have such systems in place which is giving them results. Their main focus is on the youth side”- he said.
