The Court of Arbitration for Sport has upheld the appeals by 21 AshantiGold and Inter Allies players against the Ghana Football Association.
The players were banned for alleged involvement in the match scandal of Ashgold v Inter Allies early this year.
However, making most players stay out of football-related activities for some months.
However, CAS has instructed the Ghana Football Association to compensate each player with an amount of $345.77. including Asante Kotoko’s Richmond Lamptey who was banned for 2.5 years earlier this year by the GFA for his alleged involvement in the scandal between Inter Allies and AshGold. Will receive $3,456.80 as compensation fee.
