It’s another weekend to experience great football across various match venues in Ghana, it’s the 2022/2023 matchday 22 of the Betpawa Premier League, with week 21 serving us with some mouth-watering games, and more is therefore expected from matchday 22.

It all begins today as defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who was missing in action last week due to maintenance at their home venue, for the AFCON qualifiers for the Blackstars against Angola on March 24, 2023. They face in-form side, FC Samatex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex as they hope to grind all three points away from home. FC Samatex on the other hand is in form, will hope to after beating league leaders Aduana Stars and sharing honours away from home against Accra Great Olympics last weekend will be hoping to continue their unbeaten streak as they eye top with just a win over the Porcupine Warriors. With the Kumasi-based club with just 31 points with an outstanding match against regional rivals, King Faisal will have to fight his way back to the top of the league.

The action continues on Sunday, as Accra-based club, Accra Hearts of Oak will welcome new babies Kotoko Royals to the Accra Sports Stadium as they battle it all out for the three points. A win for the Phobians will push them to the second spot in the league, hoping Accra Lions drop points against Nsoatreman FC away from home. A chase for the Betpawa Premier League Title is still on, as revealed by assistant manager David Oclu. Kotoku Royals who are battling at the relegation region on the league log, are confident of getting a point from the Phobians after a massive performance against Bechem United on matchday 21, winning by 3 goals to 1. With just 17 points at the bottom of the league, a win for Kotoku Royals will boost their chances of escaping the relegation zone.

Elsewhere, Accra Lions will be hosted by Nsoatreman FC as they are hopeful to continue their fight for the title.

The action ends on Monday where we will experience two games, as Legon Cities welcomes league leaders Aduana Stars to the El Wak Sports Stadium. Aduana Stars who bounced back to winning ways against Medeama SC last weekend are hoping to extend their victory against Legon Cities. With Legon Cities battling out of the relegation zone of the league, they will hope to make amends for their loss against Berekum Chelsea last weekend. With Ogya Boys’ eye on their first league trophy under February Coach of the Month, Paa Kwesi Fabin, a win for them will increase their chances for the league.

Whereas, King Faisal will lock horns with Bibiani Goldstars on Monday at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex after missing out in action against defending Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko, while Bibiani managed a draw against Accra Hearts of Oak.
