The action of matchday 23 of 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League was underway as all game venues across the country were graced with some great games over the weekend. With some interesting results, some football lovers had a great time.

With Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko all tasting defeat over the weekend, Aduana Stars managed to grab a point.

Starting from the C.A.M Park, Accra-based Club Accra Hearts of Oak visited Karela United at home as they hoped to get all three points from struggling side Karela United.

With the game which saw the Phobians whitewashed by the home team by three goals, Karela United on the other hand boosted their confidence from the relegation zone. However, pushing them to the 12th position of the league log with 29 points, 4 points above the relegation zone.

Moving onto Sunday, defending Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko were humiliated at home by Medeama SC. A game which saw the Porcupine Warriors return to the home grounds after a temporary closure, saw the Porcupine warriors drink two goals in the presence of their home supporters hence dragging their hope to close the gap on the Ogya boys far. With the Yellow and Mauve guys climbing to the fourth spot in the league, the Kumasi-based team has been pushed to the seventh position with 34 points.

Elsewhere at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, Aduana Stars were held down by Real Tamale United after 90 minutes of action. The Ogya boys were hopeful of grabbing all three points to stretch the chase from Accra Lions to 4 points, a draw saw them picking up a point at home from stubborn side Real Tamale United.
